John McCormack, Principal

Writer and strategic communications consultant John McCormack leverages nearly two decades of experience to lead the public relations efforts of healthcare IT companies, hospitals and physician practices. McCormack started his career working for magazines such as McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, Hospitals & Health Networks and Health Data Management and now puts his knowledge of the healthcare IT industry and writing skills to work for a variety of healthcare industry clients.

As a professional writer who has been published in a variety of consumer and trade publications, McCormack has the communication skills that many organizations truly need. Years spent covering the healthcare information technology beat makes him especially well-versed in this complex industry. Beckie Schuerenberg, Senior Writer

Beckie Schuerenberg is a veteran writer and editor with more than 15 years of experience, including nearly a decade in the healthcare IT industry.  She has developed and reviewed both web and print content for Health Data Management magazine and its spinoff publications, as well as a variety of other trade magazines, consumer websites, newsletters and daily newspapers.

Schuerenberg holds an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare IT industry through detailed news coverage of hospital, physician practice and insurer use of technology as well as numerous interviews with C-level executives, IT leaders, analysts and trade group representatives. She also researched the industry first-hand at various industry exhibitions and trade shows. In addition, Schuerenberg has intimate knowledge of the requirements for pitches, stories, research topics and interview subjects that trade magazines and web publications possess.  She holds a degree in journalism from Indiana University.

Deborah Linton, Senior Media Strategist

Deborah Linton brings more than 15 years of media relations experience to the table. As a communications professional, Linton has lead the development and execution of successful media and marketing campaigns for health care providers such as Edward Hospital and MacNeal Health Network. Linton has achieved significant media placement results for clients such as Heller Financial, GE Healthcare and Roche Pharmaceuticals. In addition to working with trade and business media, Linton has substantial experience with consumer media, having secured and coordinated media opportunities with outlets such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America and The Today Show.

Linton has successfully orchestrated major media events such as the opening of the Edward Heart Hospital, Plainfield medical office building groundbreaking, Horton quintuplets, Magnet award, AED event, colonoscopy procedure and other health-related events. Plus, she has developed and pitched story ideas for media for placement such as gestational surrogacy/IVF, spinal fusion, animal-assisted therapy and a variety of mental health topics.
